We flew out on Dec 14. As soon as Michael was out of school. Adam handled the flight great. He pretty much just ate and slept the whole time. Sarah and her soon to be husband Dallin picked us up from the air port. We had a lot of fun hanging out with them. Adam and Dallin are best buds. We stayed with Randy and Lauren who, as always, made us feel like family. We spent most of our tirp with the them. We played games with Johnny and Taylor, had many conversations with Lauren and Randy, and we were really excited to see Heather and Jay, Kimmy and Richy, Evan and Cassie. Christmas day was crazy with the whole family there. But it was so much fun! We even had a bit of girls night and guys night. That was a lot of fun to have some girly talk.
One of the challenging things to figure out while travelling with a baby is what to bring and what to leave.
Well a bath tube is definitely not on the bring list. But Adam need a bath so we found the biggest bowl we could and this was the result! It made for some really cute pictures that I'm sure he will hate when he is a teen.
Some of the people we were dying to see were of course Becca and Jared! We got to visit with them 3 times and each time was such a treat. They have a baby boy who is only a few weeks younger then Adam. We can not wait for them to come up to Utah for the summer!
Mike's Sisters were on our list. We only got to see Bridgettee once. But it was so fun to see her! We went to go visit Santa with the kids. So here is Adam on Santa's lap!
Then we dragged Brenda with us to go visit Mike's family in Thatcher for a weekend. This was probably one of the major highlights of our trip. We got to visit Aunt Dawn and Uncle Wyatt. They had quite the party for us. We got to visit with all of the Brother and Sisters of Mike's Dad. Mike has a ton of questions for them and had a great time. While Brenda enjoyed giggling in the back with Uncle Mark. Grandma was also there and seeing her face and some the stories her children told was great! The next night we had a mini Christmas. I say mini only because it wasn't on Christmas. But it was a full blown Christmas in reality. We had Christmas dinner. There was so much food and there was only 6 of us. So there were lots of left overs. There were like 5 pies! We left Aunt Dawns weighing 10 pounds more.
We also visited Micheal and Elna. We had a great time playing games with them one night and then we went out and had Mexican food. I'm so glad Micheal got to see his other half. I swear those two have the exact same sense of humour.
A really cool surprise was the Pearson and Jenina showed up out of the blue! They also have a baby who is two months younger then Adam. Being able to hang out with them was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed getting to know Jenina more. She because a dear friend!
We also got to visit my long lost Brother and his family! My niece and nephew have grown so much! Auna is just as in love with Mike as she always is. When she first saw me she started to cry. I picked her up and asked how she was. Her reply was something along the lines of "Good, Riah, where's Micheal?" hahaha I love that girl! Robert was jealous when ever one of his parents was holding Adam. It was very cute. I can't wait to see that family again.
And last but far from the least, we got to see the Petty's! We went and saw the Hobbit with them. We had a Sunday dinner where we got to see everyone! Then we went back and played games with them on new years. And then we even managed an early breakfast the day we flew out. I feel like I'm one of Aunt Sabrina's own children. Her family is so amazing!
