You see all this pink? You know what that means? Yep!
It's a girl!
We are super excited about that. And that's pretty much all the good news we have concerning this pregnancy.
There is other news. And that is that I'm already having contractions. It's pretty much the lamest thing ever. We have been to hospital 3 times now because of contractions. Once because of the stomach flu (I got dehydrated) right before Christmas. The second time right after new years (they couldn't figure out a real reason why I was having them but they were coming every 4-5 min.). And the third time 2 weeks later. The doctor told me to take it super easy and not to push my body. Even if that means only doing one activity a day. And that's what has happened. So I wake up in the morning get Michael off to school/work, get Adam ready for the day and I'll do a bit of dishes, a bit of laundry, and watch the rest of my house be taken over the mess. I don't even get to cook any more. I am really REALLY missing that right about now.
My parents come up once a week and help me clean and bring me food, my sister comes to help me clean and think of new projects, and our lovely ward members bring us food as well. We also have felt an outpouring of love from our many friends.
This has been a major trial. Learning to let things go and let others take care of it was a lot harder then I ever thought it would be. I've been able to handle it for a week or so right after I had Adam, and when I felt miserable after I got my tonsils out, but this is so very different. I feel fine for the most part. I just feel tired, and I get tired really easily. Then if I get too tired/stressed I have contractions. So letting others bless my life has been difficult. I just have to keep telling my self that its okay to let them help me do these things because it's not about me its about this baby. And even if it was about me, I was told by my father, that the people who are helping me may need the blessing of service in their lives and I need to be humble enough to let them have that blessing. So thank you to all those who have blessed me life so far. And thank you Heavenly Father for the humbling growing experience.
PS Please keep our family in our prayers if you think about it. Michael and Adam have felt the pangs of this trail as well.
