So first let me tell you about our trip up to here.
My mom and brother Michael flew down to
So the next morning we woke up at 7am. (We didn’t get to sleep until 12am) Michael and I went and picked up the truck. And my mother, and two brothers Michael and Leon came and helped us load it up. So we left our clean apartment and some family, friends, and
Our drive started out perfectly fine. We stopped for lunch at Culver’s in Casa Grand. Were the to Mike’s thought it would be funny to hide from me and my mother make us look all over the place for them and the pretend nothing happened. After a good laugh we continued our drive.
My mom owns a pair of small blue walky-talky’s which we used to communicate in-between the moving truck and the Honda civic (my car was being towed behind the moving van). This turned out to be a great idea because, for starters, after going up and down many hills and my mom and brother both being speed devils and pushing the van to the max we where afraid the van was about to over heat. So we pulled off at a K-mart in Kingmen. We looked around for a bit and Mom and Mike (my brother) decided to purchases an aux cord so they could listen to the I-pod in the moving truck. After this we were on the road once again.
But only a half hour out of Kingmen disaster really strikes. We get a flat. On the trailer that is pulling my car. Luckily Michael decided to buy the insurance for the moving van so it was covered, and we were able to call the 24 hour road side assistance. But we were delayed an hour and a half. Yep an hour and half stranded in the middle of no where. Really take a look! No where!
This is Michael #2 playing on his smart phone.
So we sat and talked and read books listened to music. Mom was bitten by an ant and I was attacked by a 3 inch long black betel. Mom and I where looking at stars, they were fantastic in the middle of no where when Mom looks over at me and screams and yells at me not to move. When of course I start to stream and yell “What?! What?!” at the top my lungs. The betel falls off while I’m dancing around trying to see why I’m not supposed to be moving. And the Mike’s are over across the way just laughing at us!
But our handy dandy fix-it man shows up and we are out on the road again once more!
We cross over the hover dame and stop for dinner at the casino at about 10pm. After a really yummy much deserved dinner we headed out for saint gorge and bed. We arrived there at about 1:45 and we were in bed if plans to sleep in by 2am.
My husband is great! But there is one thing I wish he was capable of. And that’s sleeping in. He just can’t sleep past 6 or 7. So, that’s when we were up. Mom and brother Mike where still asleep. So I gave him his game boy and tired to sleep a bit more but that didn’t work out so well. So we hung out in the room for a bit then we were off to the pool! It was so nice!!! We were able to swim around stretch out our muscles and relax in the hot tub. (Ahhhh…. I wish I could be there now!) After that we got some breakfast at a local restaurant. And where back on the road by 11.
We arrived in Pleasant Grove, where we are now located for about one more week, at about 4 o’clock. We unloaded the truck at my Uncle Dean’s house, where he letting us stay why he is on his honey moon. Then we crashed while mom went and bought food for us at a really yummy place called the Purple Turtle. Where apparently President Obama stopped to eat. Got figure…
And that my friends was our move up here. I believe that is long enough for blog for now. I will fill you in on the rest here shortly.
